What does a Rosen session look like?

In detail

Arriving
Maybe we sit and talk together at the beginning, maybe something wants to be told, maybe we immediately start the session laying down. At the first meeting, we take a little more time and talk about the reasons and concerns for coming to a session and whether there are any questions. It's always okay to talk and tell as much and as little as you like.

The time
A Rosen session lasts about an hour. However, it can also be shorter, depending on what feels good and appropriate at the moment.

The position
The session takes place on the massage table. The first half lying on the belly, the second half on the back. This is adaptable depending on what feels good and right. Maybe lying on the belly is shortly possible or not possible at all, maybe it is better to lie on the side instead of on the stomach. It is also possible to leave the table completely aside and experience touch sitting on a chair. However it feels possible. This is what it is all about: How does it fit for you. And every time it can be different.

The clothes
Most of the time the touch happens on the skin, because this allows the most direct contact. In underwear, with or without a bra, lying under a sheet, only the parts of the body that are touched being uncovered. At the beginning of the session, the touch takes place over the sheet to have time to arrive together.
It is also possible that the touch remains over the sheet and the skin is not touched. It is also possible to stay in a shirt and pants and touch over the clothes and the sheet. Just like with the position: however it feels possible. This is what it is all about: How does it fit for you. And every time it can be different. If it is more possible to relax with clothes on, we want that. We don't directly touch the skin if that's stressful.
A session in the chair takes place in clothes.

The touch
The touch takes place with both hands on the back, legs, feet, arms, hands, belly, hips (without buttocks and genital area), neck and head. Sometimes a gentle hand laying down, sometimes holding, sometimes with a little more pressure, sometimes with a lot of pressure, sometimes resting, sometimes with minimal movements. There is no sequence and all parts of the body do not have to be touched in every session. Always in the way it feels comfortable and suitable for you today. We find out together. It is also possible to hold your feet for a whole session and not do anything else. However it feels possible. This is what it is all about: How does it fit for you. And every time it can be different.

The words
During the touch and during the session, it is possible to talk together. In a session, speaking time can alternate with silent time. It can look different in each session: sometimes you talk a lot, sometimes less, sometimes just a few sentences. Maybe it's sentences or memories that feel important to speak out loud, maybe it's questions or sentences coming from me, maybe it's a conversation, maybe you're talking and I'm listening, maybe it's themes from the past, maybe something current from the present, maybe we name the sensations in the body or track the breath, muscle tension and heartbeat. Verbal expression, exchange and being heard in combination with touch can be very valuable and deepening.

The end
Immediately after the session there is still a short time to rest alone on the table. Rarely the session is discussed, usually it is good to give the body and the system time to settle. In the best case, there is the opportunity to rest and to not have exhausting tasks or trips on that day.
